Education Forum Looks at the State of Science and Math in North Carolina
Saturday, November 1, at 9 AM
You may try to avoid math and science but they exist in everything we do—from balancing checking accounts, and preparing meals to designing our homes. On this edition of Education Forum, UNC-TV Director of Programming and Outreach Diane Lucas hosts a panel of educators in a lively discussion of The State of Math & Science in North Carolina.
In addition to addressing various educational opportunities, discussions will also center on problems and solutions from preschool through college and/or universities. Questions for discussion include how to make math and science exciting for students; how helpful are programs to strengthen math and science; how does professional development opportunities fit into the equation; and what types of partnerships, programs, or best practices encourage students to excel in math or science? Tune in for valuable answers to these and other questions.
