North Carolina Voter Information

Voter Registration
You can't vote if you aren't registered, and the deadline to register in North Carolina is 25 days prior to election day.

A North Carolina resident who is qualified to vote but who misses the 25-day deadline for voter registration may register and vote at a One-Stop Site during the One-Stop Absentee Voting period. The One-Stop Voting period extends from 19 to 3 days before Election Day. The process is sometimes referred to as 'Same-Day Registration.'

Click here to learn more about voter registration and One-Stop Voting.

Early Voting
Thanks to North Carolina's "One Stop, No Excuses" absentee voting law, you can vote early by going to a designated One Stop voting location in your county. The period for absentee voting begins on the third Thursday before the election and ends at 1 PM on the Saturday before the election. Click here for a complete list of One-Stop Voting Sites from the North Carolina State Board of Elections website.

Your vote matters and UNC-TV is here to keep you informed.
