Flavor, NC
Flavor, NC is a television series dedicated to preserving and
celebrating North Carolina’s agricultural heritage, one dinner plate at a
time. Flavor, NC is the heart and soul of local food in North Carolina. It’s
more than an address and more than a state of mind. Flavor, NC is the
crossroads where the best of homegrown Tar Heel agricultural specialties
meet up with the people and places who nurture that bounty. Rolling out
the welcome mat in Flavor, NC is Lisa Prince, a talented, engaging and
down to earth food pro on a mission to get North Carolina cooking local
again.
Flavor, NC savors the tastes of North Carolina and celebrates the farmers
and food artisans working to keep Tar Heel agriculture growing. In every
episode Lisa takes us on a journey across the state to discover a particular Tar Heel favorite – maybe it’s apples in
Edneyville, heritage breed pork in Snow Camp, ice cream in Hillsborough, trout in Canton, crabs and shrimp in Currituck
Sound, Wanchese and Carteret Counties, or goat cheese in Siler City. We’ll get to know our neighbors who produce this
great food, then head into the kitchen to prepare some of their favorite recipes.
A little travel, some neighborly conversation and inspired cooking.
They all come together in Flavor, NC! So pull up a chair and visit
