Probably Kathy Pories, the series editor for New Stories from the South-2010--—a group of the best short fiction in our region and our guest on North Carolina BookwatchShort Bio - Kathy Pories, Senior editor at Algonquin Books of Chapel Hill, about some of the stories in the new book and what it takes to make a great short story.Kathy Pories earned her B.A. and Ph.D. in English Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She taught in the English Department at UNC and at Elon University before joining Algonquin in 1995. She lives in Durham, North Carolina.
