Norman Rockwell Exhibit
Rob Holliday visits the
North Carolina Museum of Art for a special exhibition featuring the
works of one of the best known artists of the 20th Century, Norman
Rockwell. "American Chronicles: the Art of Norman Rockwell" exhibit
runs through January 30th.

NC Symphony: "Amadeus"
Rob Holliday takes us to Raleigh for a special presentation of Mozart's "Amadeus," a staged production with assistance from Chapel Hill's
Playmakers Repertory Theatre, and music by the NC Symphony.

Going Solar
Dr. Tom Linden begins a two part series on alternative energy. In
his first report, Dr. Linden examines how the use of solar panels in
residential and commercial facilities is increasing in the Tar Heel
State. This story was written and produced by students at the School of
Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill.

Hybrid Electric
Dr. Tom Linden concludes
his series on alternative energy. This time Dr. Linden looks into how
North Carolinians are promoting the development of new vehicles that
will lower the use of fossil fuels. The series was written and produced
by students at the School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mr. Davis and Ms. Hughes takes us behind the scenes of the epic UNC-TV production, "North Carolina's WWII Experience." The two hour documentary pays tribute
to the Tar Heel State's men and women who served and sacrificed in what
was called "the deadliest conflict in human history." "North Carolina's WWII Experience" airs on Tuesday, December 7th at 8 p.m.

NC Rising 2: Entrepreneurs
Elizabeth Wilder continues her North Carolina Rising series on
rural economic development. She travels west to Caldwell County to
learn how the organization North Carolina Rural Entrepreneurship Through
Action Learning (REAL) is providing education for young entrepreneurs
that goes beyond textbooks.

Vice Chancellor for Extension, Engagement & Economic Development, NC State University
Dr. Zuiches will discuss how
the Extension, Engagement and Economic
Development Department at NC State is helping students and other
universities within the University of North Carolina become more engaged
within the their respective communities. The increased engagement of
students was established through the UNC Tomorrow project.
