CELEBRATE THE GREAT OUTDOORS LIKE NEVER BEFORE WITH THE
ALL-NEW 15th ANNIVERSARY SEASON OF CAROLINA OUTDOOR JOURNAL IN HIGH DEFINITION
UNC-TV’s premier outdoor series Carolina Outdoor Journal returns for a historic 15th anniversary season, beginning Saturday, September 6, at 5:30 PM. To celebrate, the Journal gang once again travels the length of North Carolina—from our rugged mountain rivers to the coastal Gulf Stream—to reel in the tastiest saltwater and freshwater fish and plentiful game, while exploring the state’s vast natural beauty.
This all-new season of Carolina Outdoor Journal, airing Saturdays at 5:30 PM, with encore episodes on Sundays at 11 AM, is produced and filmed exclusively in high definition (HD), bringing Tar Heel wildlife to viewers like you with a bigger picture, sharper image and better sound!
Experts Joe Albea and John Moore are back in business during this season’s Carolina Outdoor Journal in HD, hosting the show’s entertaining and engaging outdoor segments. During each episode, these North Carolina natives share their in-depth knowledge and helpful hints for fishing and hunting the entire Tar Heel State.
Each insightful half-hour episode of Carolina Outdoor Journal focuses on one type of fish, lure or locale with an accompanying Gear Time segment—outlining the latest and greatest equipment used in the field. A third segment, Simple Cooking, features home economist Donna Reynolds in the Journal kitchen, sharing delicious recipes for cooking the catch of the day.
While viewers can enjoy Albea and Moore’s helpful Gear Time segments and Donna Reynolds’ Simple Cooking twice a week on UNC-TV, you can also snag the sharper images of Carolina Outdoor Journal in high definition at various times during the week on UNC-HD, UNC-TV’s high definition channel.
