Chinqua-Penn Plantation/Homeland Creamery/Land of Ahs…
EXPLORE ANOTHER NEW EMMY® WINNING OUR STATE THIS MONTH ON UNC-TV!
Premieres Thursday, July 3, at 8 PM
In the 1920s, Thomas and Beatrice Penn built a magnificent mansion and garden in Reidsville full of treasures reflecting their love of art and travel. Today, new owners Calvin and Lisa Phelps continue that inspiration at Chinqua-Penn Plantation.
Head down to Julian to meet the sixth generation of the Bowman Family and see the family’s Homeland Creamery where time-honored dairy production methods still churn out delectable products.
Finally, go east to Whitakers where the O’Brien family’s floral interest started with a few rows that flourished and grew into the Fishing Creek Flower Farm.
This edition of Our State premieres, Thursday, July 3, at 8 PM. And, every Thursday night, at 8, enjoy an in-depth look at the people and places that make our state great.
Our State always spotlights the scenic and historic. Each week, compelling stories, stunning digital videography and thoughtful narration take you beneath the surface, providing answers to the hows and whys of all things Our State. After the first Thursday in the month, the remaining Thursday nights, at 8, encore episodes feature more of the people and places that make our state great.
