The participation of volunteers from all over North Carolina is an essential part of UNC-TV's continued success. Volunteers are valued for their time, energy, experience, and expertise.

• Clerical/data entry support
• Answering telephones for special events
• Studio audience members
• UNC-TV Kids Club events
• Walk-around character and handler for Read-a-roo
• Hospitality coordinator
• Volunteer captains (providing orientation and leadership to volunteers in the studio for pledge drives and special events)
• On-air talent for pledge drives
• Special production personnel (production assistants, camera operators, floor managers, audio/lighting assistants)
• Local fairs (always a great way to enjoy a day at the fair)
• Mailing projects
