Alabama Department of Archives and History - Military Records
This online state archive contains various records which document the participation of Alabamians in various wars as compiled by ADAH staff. Included is information on the Revolutionary War; the War of 1812 and the Creek War of 1814-15; the Second Creek War; the Texas War of Independence; the Mexican War; the Spanish-American War; World War I; World War II; the Korean War; and the Vietnam War. Included are clippings, compiled information about people and events, brochures, reference correspondence, photocopies and transcripts of original documents and various printed materials.
Colorado State Archives - Military Records
The Colorado State Archives services Colorado Volunteer and Colorado National Guard military records which are useful for historical, genealogical and other research needs. The archive provides access to these records upon receipt of information such as dates, names, and any other relevant data which may assist with the search.
Illinois State Archives- Databases of Illinois Veterans
The Illinois State Archives serves by law as the depository of public records of Illinois state and local governmental agencies which possess permanent administrative, legal, or historical research values. This archive includes Illinois veteran information from the War of 1812 and beyond.
Maryland State Archives - Military Records
The Marlyand State Archives
is the historical agency for Maryland and serves as the central depository for government records of permanent value. Records date from the founding of the colony in 1634 to the present. Included in the Archives' holdings are colonial and state executive, legislative, and judicial records; county probate, land and court records; church records; business records; publications and reports of state, county and municipal governments; and special collections of private papers, maps, photographs, and newspapers.
Missouri State Archives - Military Records
This state archive holds many military records of Missourians who served in domestic and foreign wars between 1812 and World War I. These records primarily consist of individual service cards. In some cases other information is available, such as payrolls, muster and descriptive rolls, reports, orders, and reparation claims.
Oklahoma Archives - Military Records
As part of the USGenWeb Archive Project, this valuable resource provides transcriptions of rosters, muster rolls, service records, pension applications, and other documents that would be relevant to researchers interested in Oklahoma's military records.
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Military Division - National Guard Museum & Archives
The Massachusetts Military Museum and Archives was established in 1995. The museum holds the material culture and documents of the Massachusetts National Guard which dates back to 1636. The most significant records are documents relating to the men and units of the Massachusetts Volunteer regiments which fought in the Civil War. Archival holdings also include the archives of the Office of the Adjutant General as well as the military records of Massachusetts soldiers, sailors, marines, militiamen, and national guardsmen from 1775 - 1940. Military records of Massachusetts servicemen from 1941 to the present are available from the Military Records Branch, Office of the Adjutant General, at (508) 233-7780.
Veteran's Memorial Hall (Covering the Four Counties of Northeastern Minnesota)
Veterans’ Memorial Hall is a joint project of the St. Louis County Historical Society and the United States Military service veterans of northeastern Minnesota, with a mission to gather, preserve, interpret, and promote the rich and diverse human experiences of veterans’, their families, and communities through museum, archival, and educational programs.
Virginia Military Institue Archives
The VMI Archives website features easy online access to full-text collections, images, and in-depth information about a wide range of historical topics relevant to our holdings. New material is added monthly. The VMI archives have received national recognition as one of the top 95 sites for Civil War research in the Scholarly Resources 2001publication The Civil War on the Web: A Guide to the Very Best Sites, and is listed on the Best of History Web Sites. Their collections have been used in numerous scholarly publications and in History Channel, PBS, and many other media productions.
