Julius Chambers with his wife and children. Judy Chambers and daughter Segregation in the South affected all situations— transportation, restrooms, churches, schools, etc. African Americans were forced to sit in the back of a bus.

Many groups protested segregation policies on buses before 1960. Before Brown v the Board of the Education, schools were segregated. This is a school photo of a black school. After Brown vs the Board of Education, schools no longer segregated whites and blacks.
