Our state's fertile soil is rich with history, and our music-old time mountain, bluegrass, Piedmont blues, jazz, gospel, rock and Americana-keeps these tales of lives and loves, lost and found, alive and well. UNC-TV takes a trip back to a time when folks gathered for a night of music, song and dance-and you're invited!
Join The Red Clay Ramblers and the Carolina Ballet for the television premiere of Carolina Jamboree . In a unique partnership, Tony-winning string band The Red Clay Ramblers and Tony Award-nominated resident choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett team up with Carolina Ballet for this thrilling music and dance experience. Fiddles and banjos, pennywhistles and piano set the mood as the dancers perform stories of love, passion and mystery. Carolina Jamboree unfolds in three parts: Appalachia Stories , The Mystery of Beautiful Nell Cropsey and Fiddlesticks. Enjoy some classic Red Clay Ramblers' music and six new songs from Ramblers Jack Herrick and Bland Simpson.
