James Treadaway Jr.

James Treadaway Jr.Jamie Treadaway is executive director of Hickory Mart Shows. A 1992 graduate of Lenoir-Rhyne University, he lives in Newton with his wife, Laura Lail Treadaway, and their son James. Treadaway has been on the Charlotte Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” list of young achievers, was a Lenoir-Rhyne University Young Alumni of the Year, and is a recipient of the American Red Cross’s Clara Barton Honor Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership.

Active in the arts, he has served on the North Carolina Museum of Art’s board of trustees, is a board member and past president of the United Arts Council of Catawba County, a member of the Newton-Conover Auditorium board of directors, and past president of Friends of the Hickory Museum of Art.

A tireless volunteer, Treadaway also has served as a board member of the American Red Cross Greater Carolinas Chapter and has been chair of the American Red Cross of Catawba Valley. He is a member of Corinth Reformed Church in Hickory and, for 13 years, was a volunteer with Young Life, an inter-denominational Christian outreach ministry to high school students.
