William Mance is the retired vice president for human resources of Mission Hospitals in Asheville, North Carolina.
He earned a B.A. from Hampton University and a master of science in administration from George Washington University. He was a member of the U.S. Army and Army Reserves for over 30 years and retired at the rank of colonel.
Referring to himself as a "community volunteer," William serves on the board of the Economic Development Coalition of Asheville and Buncombe County, is a counselor for SCORE, is a member of the Business Advisory Council for Goodwill Industries in Asheville, a member of the Minority Medical Mentoring Program, and a member of the Standing Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Western North Carolina.
