This fantastic fairytale returns to the stage to cast its spell with choreography by the company’s artistic director Robert Weiss and music by Karl Moraski.

Monet Impressions
Inspired by the North Carolina Museum of Art's wildly successful Monet in Normandy exhibit, enjoy the Carolina Ballet's remarkable Carolina Ballet: Monet Impressions. Principal Guest Choreographer Lynne Taylor-Corbett created a ballet highlighting the French life in Monet's paintings of the mid 1800s, with costumes by award-winning Broadway designer and North Carolina native William Ivey Long.

Artistic Director Robert Weiss choreographed a ballet based on Monet's exquisite Water Lilies, with costumes by David Heuvel. Picnic on the Grass, based on Monet's Le Déjeuner sur l'herbe and set to the music of Francis Poulenc, is influenced by Monet's later years and a series of his pivotal life events.

Peter and the WolfPeter and the Wolf
Enjoy another delightful dance from The Carolina Ballet, with the entertaining and educational story of Carolina Ballet: Peter and the Wolf.

Based on a Russian folktale, Sergei Prokofiev’s story and Robert Weiss’s choreography combine costumes, dance, music and scenery for this magical story.

Swan LakeSwan Lake
Take in the ever-enchanting Carolina Ballet: Swan Lake, the lauded local dance company’s presentation of the most popular ballet of all time. Artistic director Robert Weiss beautifully choreographs this enchanting story of the cursed Queen Odette and the true love that broke her spell.

From the original ballet by Lev Ivanov and Marius Petipa, re-imagined through the story and paintings of award-winning Viennese children’s book author and illustrator Lisbeth Zwerger, and set to one of Tchaikovsky’s greatest scores, this one-of-a-kind performance should not be missed.
