Earn $100 for giving us your opinions!
Thanks to a grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), an educational research and evaluation firm called Rockman et al will be in North Carolina February 4-7 conducting focus groups for a national collaborative which is producing TV, web and radio programming on science and the environment. UNC-TV is part of the national collaborative. Rockman is looking for people in Wilmington, Raleigh/Durham, and Cullowhee to participate in a group discussing local and national science and environmental issues.

Your insight and feedback will be used to help identify story ideas for the national series as well as another project. The content will air on UNC-TV and nationally.  If you're thoughtful and like to share your opinions, you might be just who Rockman is looking for.

There will be two group discussions in each place that will last approximately 90 minutes and be held in the late afternoon/early evening. Depending on which focus group you are selected for, prior to the session you may be asked to listen to some audio programming. Rockman will pay you $100 for your time and will provide light snacks and beverages.

All information collected during this study will be rendered anonymous, not connected with your name or any other identifying information.  In addition, your name and any identifying characteristics will not be made available to anyone outside of the research team.

Focus groups will be held in:
If you qualify, Rockman et al will contact you for further screening.
