Audience Engagement/Marketing Internship
We are seeking a digitally savvy, marketing mind to join our affinity group services program. This role has a very high degree of creative freedom and visibility, and it requires abilities in multiple areas, including social media marketing, PR, thought leadership, content creation, and relationship management. Duties include but are not limited to: identifying and building relationships with prominent student influencers and thought leaders on college campuses, and ensuring that these relationships benefit both the company and individual; attending relevant events to evangelize the company mission and find like-minded individuals to align with on future initiatives; remain knowledgeable of internal company marketing initiatives, especially major announcements, content creation, and events; and serve as a go to resource to the marketing team for working with college students. Requirements include: 1-2 years of experience in digital marketing and in our specific industry; intermediate knowledge of both social media marketing and PR; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a willingness to try creative approaches to networking; and experience working with executives and other senior-level leaders, including media members and consultants.
Hours of the position may vary depending on the marketing/communications schedule, but are most likely to fall within a Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm timeframe.
Archival Content Internship
We are seeking an Archival Content intern to inventory and maintain UNC-TV archival moving image collections as a part of UNC-TV’s mission to digitally preserve its historic broadcast archive from multiple videotape formats. Duties will include encoding A/V materials for multiple platforms through the Dalet MAM media asset management system, entering metadata including content description, preservation, and arrangement of archival media as well as maintenance of archival show footage records. Duties may also include maintaining local database of Excel records, and potentially merging records into ENPS, ProTrack, and other UNC-TV/PBS database systems.
Hours of the position may vary, but are most likely to fall within a Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm timeframe.
