For over 30 years Mister Rogers' Neighborhood has helped young children at the most crucial period of educational development in their lives to develop tools that they need for learning. Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Childcare Partnership provides ways t incorporate the acclaimed public television program into preschool classrooms. The goal of the program is to help children deal with topics such as kindness, celebrations, mistakes, jealousy, feelings when parents go to work, and many other life experiences. The program helps to encourage the growth of self-esteem and pro-social behavior.
Mister Rogers' Neighborhood ChildCare Partnership is based on research which shows changes in children that have participated in the program. Children are:
Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Childcare Partnership offers childcare professionals a book of activities that helps extend the goals of the program as well as a four-hour training workshop that provides four contact credit hours through the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Resources.
