2008 NC Gubernatorial Debate
The Education: Everybody’s Business Coalition, in partnership with the Public School Forum of North Carolina and the North Carolina Cable Telecommunications Association (NCCTA) is sponsoring a Gubernatorial Debate between Democratic candidate Beverly Perdue and Republican candidate Pat McCrory from SAS campus in Cary, NC.. John Dornan, Executive Director of the Public School Forum will moderate the event as the candidates will be asked questions by a panel of education professionals throughout North Carolina. The debate will focus on education, from the kindergarten through college level.

NC Gubernatorial Candidates Forum
As the general election heats up, UNC-TV broadcasts the NC Gubernatorial Candidates Forum between Democrat Beverly Perdue and Republican Pat McCrory, highlighting each candidates' plans and platforms concerning issues affecting our state.

The forum, moderated by NCBA Past-President Mike Colombo of Greenville, includes a media panel consisting of Gerald Owens of WRAL-TV in Raleigh, Shannon Vickery of UNC-TV and Laura Leslie of North Carolina Public Radio. The production of this program is courtesy of Time Warner Cable's 24-hour local news network, News 14 Carolina. The forum is presented by the North Carolina Bar Association.

In this, the second of UNC-TV’s three topical 2008 candidate forums, UNC-TV legislative correspondent and co-host of Legislative Week in Review Kelly McCullen moderates an in-depth discussion of the state of North Carolina’s healthcare services among Democratic Party candidates Richard Moore and Beverly Perdue and Republican Party contenders Bill Graham, Pat McCrory, Bob Orr and Fred Smith.
