Journey to Opportunity
Originals Broadcast Date: August
4, 10 am
Last year, nearly 20,000 adult learners from across
our state took advantage of college credit telecourses through the
partnership of UNC-TV and participating colleges of the NC Telecourse
Consortium. In the latest edition of EdForum: Journey To Opportunity,
Diane Lucas, UNC-TV Director of Programming and Outreach, talks
to distance learning students, instructors, and administrators to
find out what elements help ensure student success in distance learning.
We'll also meet two students who'll share their personal stories
about out how they used distance education to overcome tremendous
obstacles in their lives in order to obtain their college degrees.
Gain a better understanding about the various forms of distance
learning, and what it takes to succeed in pursuing the GED and college
degree credit through this type of non-traditional classroom instruction.
