Community Resources
UNC-TV trainers, Dr. Merle Price, and Mrs. Evelyn Slappy provided storytelling and a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to ease the transition into Kindergarten for children and families at the Durham Public School’s Countdown to Kindergarten event that was held on August 8, 2009. Read-a roo and Berenstain Bear Mama Bear made guest star appearances. Betsy's Kindergarten Adventures t-shirts, and school resources were distributed to each child. Free books were also made available to the children.
