Growing by Degrees: Online Education in the United States, 2005 - Southern Edition
n case you missed it, you should definitely take a look at the study, “Growing by Degrees: Online Education in the United States, 2005,” which the Sloan Consortium released in November 2005 on the status of online education. The Sloan Consortium has just released a separate “Southern Edition” which just looks at the data it received last fall from more than 400 colleges and universities in the 16 southern states served by the Southern Regional Education Board. It found that “online learning has made greater inroads in the southern states than in the nation as a whole. Penetration rates are consistently higher and attitudes towards online education are consistently more positive.”
