Durham Army National Guard Kid Drill Day

Fifteen children, 2-7 yrs. old, and ten moms planned a fundraiser, to thank military kids of Army National Guard soldiers for sharing their parent soldiers with our country! They donated small amounts to dress up, decorate their wagons and bicycles to march in a parade! Other local families on vacation made donations also. The funds raised will be used to purchase books, photo albums, and writing/drawing supplies for scrapbooking and memories projects. These , along with a book from UNC-TV, will be put in Read-a-Roo bags by Jr. Leadership Durham 4H’ers for presentation to Kids of Military parents at the Durham Army National Guard Kid Drill Day. This project was done in collaboration with Durham County 4H , Durham Mothers’ Club and UNC-TV.
