Reading is fun, and these kids proved it, with a little help from Betsy of Betsy’s Kindergarten Adventures! Check out some photos on UNC-TV's KIDS Facebook site from the WOYC library event that took place April 22-28, 2012. Community literacy partners included Wake Association for the Education of Young Children (Wake aeyc), Wake County Public Library, Home Child Care Association, Southeast Regional Library, Betsy’s Kindergarten Adventures, Wake Tech, Wake County Smart Start, Meredith College Advocates for Young Children and UNC-TV. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: EATING WELL ON A BUDGET is a bilingual, multimedia program designed to help support families who have children between the ages of 2 and 8 and are coping with uncertain or limited access to affordable and nutritious food. Check out the Sesame Street website to download a toolkit for your family or classroom.
