The Setting: Room & Materials

In preparing to do your It’s a Big, Big World workshop, let’s look at the setting. This workshop was conducted at Learning Together Incorporated in Raleigh, North Carolina. The room was transformed into a jungle motif and decorated with jungle print balloons, inflatable jungle animals, different colored table cloths, safari print lined containers, miniature plush animals, a display of art—African artifacts and a variety of books, clear bug boxes, insect nets and plastic insects and snakes were placed on each table; safari hats also were on each table. In addition, It’s a Big, Big World episode of music was playing as the participants entered the room. There is also a list of other materials that are needed to make this workshop a complete success. That list will be made available to you in your training package.
