Let's Go to the Zoo on our Safari for Learning
As part of the grant, the teachers from Learning Together received scholarships to take their students on a fieldtrip to the North Carolina Zoo, located in Asheboro, North Carolina. The zoo is nationally recognized as one of the nation’s finest zoos. It was the first American zoo designed, from its inception, around the natural habitat philosophy, presenting animals and plants in exhibits that closely resemble the habitats in which they would be found in the wild. The teachers talk about some of the things that they will see at the zoo. You too can also plan and inciting [ph] a trip to the zoo.
