Phil Norris is a native of Brunswick County and resides in the Hickman's Crossroads Community. He is 53 years old and has been married to his wife, Sandy, for 27 years. They have one daughter, Tori, age 15. Phil is a professional engineer, registered to practice civil engineering in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. He is president of Norris, Kuske & Tunstall Consulting Engineers, Inc. Phil is also pastor of Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church. He is active in his community, church, and family. Phil is currently serving his second 4 year term as County Commissioner. He is seeking a third term as a conservative thinker and leader.

I have enjoyed serving the people of Brunswick County for the last eight years. I have a proven record of conservative leadership and decisions. The quality of services provided to the citizens of Brunswick County has improved during my two terms. The tax rate is half of what it was when I first took office. In these difficult economic times, we have reduced the size of government, cut our budget, and not raised taxes. If you wish for this trend to continue, I will be pleased to continue to serve you as your county commissioner.
