My name is E. Rendy Lewis and I was born in January of 1949 to Kermit and Mae Beck. A native of Brunswick County and a graduate of Bolivia High School. I was fortunate to live my teen-age years in a safe county, where a friendly smile or wave could be seen daily.

Violence was rarely heard of.  After leaving high school, I became interested in a career in law enforcement.  Since becoming interested in law enforcement, I have spent most of my adult life serving and protecting citizens of Brunswick County.

Hello, my name is E. Rendy Lewis and I am running for Sheriff of Brunswick County.  I have had the opportunity to serve the citizens of Brunswick County in law enforcement, when becoming the first female road deputy in Brunswick County.  Later, I served the state of North Carolina in Brunswick County in the capacity of serving as magistrate.  While serving as magistrate in Brunswick County I hard small claims court cases.  I know with the 33 years of experience in law enforcement and the judicial system combined, I will bring honesty and dependability back to the sheriff’s department.

I will bring drug users as well as dealers in by arresting them daily if need be, until they decide that Brunswick County is not the place to use or deal drugs.

Brunswick County residents will be able to believe in the sheriff's department once again.  They will see deputies patrolling the county.

I will listen to the residents of Brunswick County, hearing their concerns and views.
