Born and raised in Columbus County.  President of Hillcrest Corp. (commercial leasing and developing corporation). Dewey Hill Rentals and Hill Farms.  Graduate of Whiteville High School and School of Business Administration UNC Chapel Hill.  Served in the United States Navy.  Member of the First Baptist Church of Whiteville.  Member of the Whiteville Rotary Club, Chamber of Commerce and Columbus County Committee of 100. Board of Trustees of Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina. Wife Muriel and two children.

I have served in the North Carolina House of Representatives for eight terms and I feel that my record speaks for itself.  There has been much accomplished in the years I have served and as North Carolina House Agriculture Chairman, I would like the opportunity to continue my work for the people in our area.
