Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):

1990 Graduate of the University of Georgia and a twelve year resident of Cabarrus County. Owner of Simon Meyers, Charlotte, CCC a construction consulting firm. Active member of the community of Harrisburg, with involvement in the Parks and Rec Department and the Hickon Ridge High School Athletic Booster Club, as well as my neighborhood association board.

I want to make sure that Cabarrus County Schools are the best schools in the state by making sure we set the bar high and demand excellence in all aspects of the system. The board needs to be professional in its approach, we need to demand excellence and accountability from staff and administrators and we need to make sure the students that graduate from our schools are ready to compete in a global economy.
