| Candidate Statement:
My name is Pam Hanson and I am running for Clerk of Superior Court in Carteret County. I appreciate you taking time to come to this site and check on my thoughts, ideas, and biographical data. Too often people push that button for someone they don’t take the time to learn about. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions.
I truly believe it is critical that voters in the next few elections choose their representatives very carefully. Our country needs strong conservative leaders who respect and believe in the traditional founding values our forefathers believed in. I believe in those values; God, family, community, and country. Daily we watch in disbelief as one by one cherished "freedoms" and "control" of our own destiny, seems to erode into a slew of new "government" rules and regulations. Good conservative oversight in ALL areas is important to the smooth running of our county seat.
The position of Clerk of Court is largely an administrative one. Tasked with document preservation and accurate documentation, there are five main components of the Clerks office: Record Keeper, Administrator, Comptroller, Judge of Probate, and Leader. Each area has its own divisions and some judicial duties also attach.
As the local community college's Public Safety Training Coordinator, I managed, designed, and implemented programs with a budget in excess of $100,000. I had over 100 adjunct staff report to me. The current position of clerk has roughly 22 employees and a comparable budget.
One of my goals for the Clerks office is to implement technology current with today's standards. This implementation should ease workload on staff, thereby increasing efficiency, resulting in economic savings, and increase information access for people at home.
Please vote for me November 2nd. |
