Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):

Carolyn Jones Connor is presently employed as an inspector/investigator for the NC Board of Funeral Service in Raleigh and; is responsible for enforcing the statutes, rules and regulations relative to the Funeral Service Industry. A native of Washington, DC, via North Carolina, she holds degrees from Appalachian State University, Boone, NC and Mercer University, Atlanta, Ga.  Carolyn is also a graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Funeral Service in Decatur, Ga.

Carolyn especially enjoys being connected to the community and serves as NC Board Member of the NC League of Women Voters, League of Women Voters of Catawba Valley, American Association of University Women-Statesville Branch, Hickory Business and Professional Women, Former Catawba Valley Rotary Member, NAACP Member and mentors several youth within the community.

Carolyn is married to Bobby Connor and is the mother of one son Nicholas and a daughter Alyshia.  The Connors are members of Exodus Outreach Missionary Church in Hickory, NC.
