Candidate Biography (submitted by campaign):

My first priority is as a mother. I have two sons ages 11 and 5. within CMS. I have been an involved parent in CMS since my children started school. I have supported our schools by attending the school board meetings and shared my views. As the PTA President at Clear Creek, I continued my involvement. My passion for my children's education is what motivated me to run for the Board of Education.  As a young child, I told my family that I would be the first woman President. My goal is now to make things better for our community and for our children.

As a member of Threshold church, I am blessed in so many ways. I lead the Children's worship team. My children enjoy going there as much as I do.  We have been a part of the Threshold family since they began.

I have been involved as an advocate of Scouting and as a Leader with Pack/Troop 65 at Philadelphia Presbyterian church. The scouting community is a wonderful start for families. I have watched the boys grow into young men including my own. He enjoys scouting, and he has learned so many life lessons.

Currently, I am a project manager with Wachovia, A Wells Fargo Company. I have been with the organization for ten years. I believe in our company, and their commitment to community as well as employees.

I am a member as well as a business associate at Work It Out fitness. It is a great local Mint Hill gym that caters to our community by providing all around fitness with personal service. Being a soccer coach within local leagues has given me another way to work out and work with kids in a way that I can help make a difference.
