Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):
I am a Native of Chowan County. My wife, Beth, and I have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. Prior to law enforcement I worked in the Cable TV industry and spent 14 plus years in the North Carolina Army National Guard as an infantryman. I began my law enforcement career in 1996 working with the Chowan County Sheriff's Office in the jail facility and attending Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET).
After graduation from BLET, I went to work with the Edenton Police Department. While with the EPD I worked Community Policing, street patrol and bike patrol. In 1999, I was offered a position as a School Resource Officer at Chowan Middle School with the Chowan County Sheriff's Office. I've been with the Sheriff's Office since that time.
During my time with the Sheriff's Office I have worked as an SRO, serving on the North Carolina Association of School Resource Officers state board. I have also worked patrol, domestic violence investigations and currently serve as an Investigator.
I am currently serving on the board of directors for Albemarle Hopeline, a domestic violence shelter for DV victims in the First Judicial District. I am also the Chairman of the Edenton-Chowan Peace for Families, a collaboration that raises money to assist victims of domestic violence in Chowan County. I am active in my church, serving as a deacon, praise team member and Life Group facilitator.
I enjoy spending time with my family and friends as well as hunting and raising beagles.

| Candidate Statement:
My decision to run for Chowan County Sheriff was made after much prayer and thought. I see a better way to lead the Sheriff's Office and I'm confident that together we can achieve success.
I don't seek the Office of Sheriff to be self-serving but to serve others, through open and candid leadership, pro-active law enforcement, community involvement and outreach, and through continuous drug and gang interdiction, enforcement and intervention.
By utilizing available resources, together we can make our community a safer friendlier place to live, work, play and raise our children.
Contrary to some opinions, the Office of Sheriff belongs to the people, not the incumbent Sheriff. This is your opportunity to elect a Sheriff of the people, by the people and for the people.
I love Chowan County and her people. I ask you to trust me and be confident in me as your Sheriff, and elect Tim Brabble Sheriff of Chowan County. Thank you and God bless ... Tim Brabble
