The challenges facing our region and nation require the experience and know-how to continue pushing for progress and change. I am excited about the opportunity to keep fighting for our families and our future, and I want to build on the strong foundation that has been laid.

Our best days continue to be ahead of us, and I look forward to helping southeastern N.C. continue to be a great place to live, work, worship, play and retire.

I will focus on: strong national defense; good jobs and economic development; sound agriculture policy; affordable health care; benefits for veterans, military retirees and senior citizens; quality schools and affordable higher education; funding for inlets and waterways; Lumbee Tribe recognition.
