Candidate Statement:

North Carolina must continue to meet new challenges and demands placed upon us by being one of the fastest growing states. We must continue to fund education to ensure a quality workforce is available for business and industry.

Recruiting industry and good paying jobs is critical to maintaining our strong economy.  Quality health care is essential as we grow older and more retirees move to North Carolina to enjoy our mild climate, natural beauty and quality of life.  Ensuring our towns, cities, and communities are safe for our citizens to live and raise their family is critical as we continue to grow.

We have accomplished much but still have more work to do.  I am proud to have been given the opportunity to serve the people of North Carolina, especially the citizens of House District 2.  I thank you for your past support and I seek your continued support and vote on Tuesday, November 4, 2008.

Thank you for your trust and confidence and for giving me the opportunity to serve you in the North Carolina General Assembly.
