Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):
Hedrick is a graduate of Western Carolina University and owner of Hedrick Creative Building. He is a graduate of the NC Builder Institute and is a Certified Green Professional and an officer and an active member of the Davidson County Home Builders Association.
Hedrick was the builder for the ABC Television Show Extreme Makeover- Home Edition featured in Davidson County. Hedrick has extensive experience with business management, residential and commercial building, and community involvement.
Hedrick is married to the former Michelle Wynn. They have three children ranging in ages from 6 to 14. They are members of Memorial United Church of Christ. Hedrick believes that his business experience and a fair and honest approach to government will allow him as a County Commissioner to help create jobs and promote economic growth for Davidson County.

SOME GOALS IF ELECTED:
- CREATE JOBS IN DAVIDSON COUNTY THROUGH CONTINUING AGGRESSIVE BUSINESS RECRUITING AND PROVIDING INCENTIVES.
- PROVIDING QUALITY EDUCATION BY PROVIDING TOOLS TO THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEMS; SO THAT, MORE AND MORE YOUNG PEOPLE ARE EQUIPPED TO GO ON TO COLLEGE.
- CONTINUE AND SUPPORT THE GOOD WORK OF THE COMMUNITY COLLEGE.
- PROVIDING SERVICES AND INFRASTRUCTURE FOR EXPANDING BUSINESS PARKS WITHIN THE COUNTY AND COORDINATION WITH THE WORK OF THE CITIES.
- SUPPORT FOR PARKS AND RECREATION FOR ALL CITIZENS.
- SUPPORT FOR THE GOOD WORK BEING DONE BY TOURISM AND RECREATION GROUPS.
- SUPPORT FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT, FIRE PROTECTION AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT.
- KEEPING COUNTY GOVERNMENT TRANSPARENT AND PROPERTY TAXES AS LOW AS PRACTICAL.
