Candidate Biography (submitted by candidate):

Married to Paul Drechsler

Active member of First Presbyterian Church
Certified Knitting Instructor and Knitting Designer
Volunteer in the community in various organizations including Domestic Violence Programs and Relay for Life.

Graduated from ECU with a B.S. degree in 1980
Career experiences involved working as a Therapeutic Recreational Specialist serving developmentally disabled and psychiatric patients.

In 1990, I had the opportunity to begin working under the leadership of the current Clerk of Court Ken Boger, as a Deputy Clerk of Court. This work experience taught me the enormous responsibility the Clerk of Court Office has in serving the citizens of Davie County.

In 1997, I began serving the citizens of Davie County in my current position as a magistrate. As a magistrate I have continued to grow and learn, serving the people of Davie County honestly and in a fair and professional manner.

Candidate Statement:

I want to continue to serve the citizens of Davie County with honesty, integrity and with respect. The Citizens of Davie County deserve a Clerk of Court with experience who can make the transition and provide continuity of services. I will give my full attention to the Clerk of Court office and will be accessible to the people of Davie County.

Every paper that is touched by the Clerk of Court office has an effect on someone's life. I want to insure that the office not only follows the laws of NC and the policies of the Administrative Office of the Court but that we treat people with respect and compassion.

I am asking for your vote on May 4, 2010 for Davie County Clerk of Court.
