Candidate Statement:
I am Tony Chavonne and honored to be serving as mayor of Fayetteville. I am seeking a third term and I am excited about the upcoming campaign and this city's bright future. With your support we will continue to help lead our great city at this important time.
It began four years ago with talk of a journey -- a journey to a more attractive, clean and peaceful city; a city with economic opportunity for all.
In the past four years we've seen roads paved, more public safety officers on the streets, higher appearance and development standards, an increase in per capita income that leads the state, and a renewed confidence in our community's future and its leaders.
Fayetteville finds itself at a critical crossroads in this journey. At this important time in our city the stakes are too high, the opportunities are too great, the future is too bright -- not to push through to the end.
You see that great city we've all dreamed of is within our grasp.
We proudly stand on the shoulders of those that came before us and can see the hopes of opportunity right around the corner. The decisions our city leaders make over the next two years will determine if we can turn those hopes of opportunity into success.
I ask for your continued prayers and support as we continue our journey together. We will seize those opportunities, earn that success and change this city for generations to come.

May God Bless each of you and May God continue to bless our great city.
