| Candidate Statement:
The citizens of District 2 and the City of Fayetteville deserve fresh ideas from a leader on the city council. I am a firm believer that good leaders are measured in great part by their ability to inspire people to action. I have spent countless hours working for non-profits, community service organizations, and government boards. I will be that leader and will engage our citizens, listen to their concerns and most importantly take action.
My focus is squarely on the critical issues facing our city today, such as working to reduce crime rates, creating job opportunities for citizens, supporting new and existing businesses, making local government more accessible and transparent, and communicating with citizens about issues that are important to them as well as informing them of opportunities for various types of government assistance. Our citizens must be informed about these issues and how they affect each of them and I am committed to helping ensure they are informed by the various methods that are currently in place as well as new and creative ones.
I pledge to always, in every decision I make, put the people of District 2 and Fayetteville first. My priorities as your city councilwoman will be public safety first, an even better transit system, and economic development for all. Together, we can make this community better for all of us.
