I, as your Representative, intend to continue to represent your interests in Raleigh.  My main concern is to keep spending in check, with lower taxes.  In keeping with the conservative views of my district, I will work toward solving the illegal alien program, provide jobs, and make the laws concerning a Pregnant Female and injury or death to her and/or her unborn fetus include the fetus as a person under the law.  I remain opposed to same sex marriage and am pro-life.

I currently serve as the Republican House Whip

Permanent committee assignments include:

  • Finance
  • Pensions and Retirement, Vice Chair
  • Alcoholic Beverage Control
  • Commerce, Small Business and Entrepreneurship
  • Local Government I
  • Legislative Ethics Committee

Interim Committee Assignments are:

  • 21st Century Transportation Committee
  • Revenue Laws Study Committee
  • Gov. Ops; Subcommittee Statewide/Capital/General Government
  • House Select Committee, Ethics
  • Speakers Ad Hoc Committee; Legislative Assistant work schedule
  • House Study Committee on Unbanked and Underbanked Consumers

In my previous three terms I have attempted to be a responsive and responsible representative for the 75th House District. I will continue to provide assistance to my constituency during a 4th term if successful in my re-election campaign.
