| Candidate Statement:
It is time to stand up for all children. As a mother of two children attending schools in the WSFC School System, I understand the impact of decisions made by the school board.
I believe in public schools and the opportunities that it gives children in our community. In order for all children to have access to these opportunities our school board must be reflective of the views, demographics, etc. of the population which it serves.
My concerns include
- increasing the high school graduation rate
- ensuring equal access to resources for all children and schools in our county
- increasing family / parent involvement within our schools
- supplying support for teachers.
I will be a valuable asset to our school board. I have the skills, education, and background to be a solid voice for our children and will make it my goal to always keep the students of WSFC and their best interest in every decision that is made on the school board level.
Let's stand together and be a voice for all children! Vote Carla B Farmer, Board of Education -- District 2.
