Candidate Statement:

There is a significant need to change the direction of our nation.  The demand for more government by Democrats and less government by Republicans is a distraction. The American people are unhappy with this partisan war over every issue that comes up, especially on the key issues of education, fair taxation, border security and national freedom.  There is no reason this partisan war cannot be replaced by agreement to seek effective government instead. Action needs to start now.

The trends which concern us are all related to losing our belief in self reliance and the American Dream . . . and sending the bill to our children and grandchildren.

There is a continuing failure of our educational system to meet the needs for our children’s success, the desires of parents for their moral foundation, or society’s needs to make them productive citizens for the future.

There is an increasing willingness of government to seek tax increases as a matter of pork, power and corruption, rather than to fund effective government which is needed.

There is a growing reliance on government control of housing, food distribution, transportation and health care, driving up the costs for all.

There is a huge concern over the response of our government to the three movements that have declared war on our nation and which seek to destroy us from within or without, illegal immigration, Islamo-fascism and global socialism.

Our tradition of action against tyrannical nation states has handicapped our government’s ability to protect us and our borders against movements, rather than nations.

Dean will be your strong conservative voice in Congress to deal with these problems and work as your liaison with the federal government on problems you encounter with the system.
