| Candidate Statement:
In the Register of Deeds "Experience Matters" and I have the experience needed. My staff and I take great pride in our jobs and the duties that we perform.
I believe that the last 34 years of service have earned your trust and confidence that I can do the job. I have utilized the opportunity of attending many workshops, schools and conferences to take advantage of the benefit of continuing education. I have always been very conservative with my budget, returning money each year to the county general fund. My office operates on the fees collected.
Iredell County has a Register of Deeds office today that we can be proud of and one of the most modern offices in the state, many counties across the state have visited. We have provided online access to all Real Estate documents from the formation of the county (1788) to current. We started electronic recordings in 2008. I ask for your vote and support to continue my job as your Register of Deeds.
