Candidate Statement:

Bob Silver is the candidate for the Lincoln County School Board who stands for honesty, integrity, and openness. He will bring a new and energetic viewpoint to the board that will focus on his most important issue: giving our students the best education possible through quality leadership. He is committed to using his skills and experience to help accomplish that objective. Bob will do what's necessary to make well-informed decisions in bringing about desired results. He looks forward to motivating the board towards common goals, as well as embracing community involvement in our children's education.

Rest assured that Bob will adhere to the North Carolina School Board Code of Ethics and in no way compromise the integrity of the position. On his agenda is to work diligently to enhance a learning atmosphere through the use of technology, building improvements, and recognition of individual school achievements.

Bob will support schools maintaining open channels of communications between the parents, teachers, principals, and community. To help achieve this aim, Bob will hold scheduled public forums. In addition, he will propose that there be video replays of the open school board meetings to be implemented through public access television, so that all concerned county residents who are unable to attend the meetings, have the opportunity to be informed of the proceedings.

In closing, Bob's message is clear. He is a candidate who is passionate about his commitment in improving each student's opportunities in education, and dedicated in finding the optimal avenue to succeed in his efforts.

IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!
