| Candidate Statement:
I begin my 26th year serving the citizens of Lincoln County in the law enforcement and criminal justice field. This, along with 16 years in a supervisory role, uniquely prepares me for the Office of Sheriff. It is my zeal for the job as a law enforcement officer that instills in me the passion to serve you, the citizens, as your Sheriff.
With your support for me as Sheriff, I will work with both the public and other law enforcement agencies to make our county a safer place by:
- increasing narcotic and drug investigations in a county wide collaborative effort with all agencies to rid our county of illegal drugs that contribute to all types of criminal activity.
- enhancing visibility by increasing the number of deputies that are on the street and empowering these officers to work closely with the communities that they serve and protect.
- furthering career development of our deputies through training, safety and education, along with fair pay for all employees, so that the most experienced, highly-trained law enforcement personnel are retained to serve you, the citizens.
- continuing to develop new and innovative programs that educate the citizens and give greater insight of the operations of the Sheriff's Office in an effort to make our homes, families, and businesses safer.
I plan on succeeding in this mission, not only through new programs, but by continuing and expanding on existing programs already currently offered by our Sheriff's Office
