And after graduating from high school he accepted the oath of service to his country and served four years. He received the Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Ribbon for serving nineteen months of his enlistment in the Republic of South Korea.

Upon graduation Paul continued his studies in Psychology before accepting a job in the Semiconductor Industry. Since then Paul has worked in the Semiconductor industry that has brought him to his adopted home state of North Carolina.

| Candidate Statement:
My name is Paul F. Terrell III and I am the proud son of a United States Marine Corp and United States Army veteran and the grandson of a World War II United States Army veteran. I bring with me the ethics and morals of being raised by a loving family and service in the United States Army of my own.
I intend to ensure continued prominence for North Carolina which I believe has been put at serious risk by the current administration and state legislature. I will bring my blue collar work ethic to use in returning to our state government the openness that all of our citizens expect of its politicians. Since I am a blue collar worker myself, I understand the needs of working, middle class citizens.
We need lower taxes to help take the burden of financing big corporations off of our backs. We need a Highway trust fund that is just that a Trust fund. It is time to stop robbing it to pay for special interest projects that have nothing to do with our state's highways. And it is my belief that our children's educational needs should be the responsibility of parents and government working together. Our state government failed to deliver on these issues. The politicians have ignored us for far too long and it is time for us to take back our government.
If you elect me to the 33rd district seat in the North Carolina House, I will put on my blue collar shirt, blue jeans and hard hat, and put our state back in its rightful place among our nation's states.
Please VOTE for Paul F. Terrell III for North Carolina State House district 33 on November 4th, 2008.
