Stan Morse is a printing professional and long-time community volunteer who has been an NC resident since 1978. In 1997, he founded The Twin Oaks Team, Inc., which provides personnel recruiting, consulting and crisis intervention services to the printing and graphics arts industry.

Morse also spent 11 years as a volunteer counselor with HopeLine, a crisis intervention telephone line for people in crisis, and was awarded volunteer of the year. He is both a long-time volunteer and the official Master of Ceremonies for the American Syringomyelia Alliance Project, Inc. There he was honored for his Extra Ordinary Projects.

He is actively involved in his church, St. Francis of Assisi, where he volunteers on several ministries and participates in an environmental study group. He holds a B.S. degree in Printing Management from the Rochester Institute of Technology.

I'm Stan Morse, candidate for State House, District 40, Northern Wake County. I'm not a Politician. This is not about Republican vs. Democrat. I am a citizen and voter just like you. I come to represent your interest. I don't take Political Action Committee money.

PAC's are the largest contributors to State campaigns. Thus they have a stranglehold on our Legislature. Lobbying is necessary. Lobbyists paying to get politicians elected is wrong. This campaign accepts only small contributions from private citizens.

On issues: let me say State government wastes huge sums of money contributing to higher taxes yet provides mediocre pay for State Employees and Law Enforcement.

On Education: we all know we live a safer, better life among well-educated citizens. A lot needs to be done there.

And, why are Ethics Hearings not open to the public? Isn't it about time for that to change?

Protecting the environment for our children: I'll push for tax exemptions and credits for Geothermal, Solar, Wind Power and fuel efficient cars. I'll seek a one year sales tax exemption for Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Programmable Thermostats and similar energy-saving devises for homes, farms, and offices.
