| Candidate Statement:
After attending the public hearing debacle at City Hall regarding the decision to forcibly annex Monkey Junction, I was greatly offended at the callous manner in which residents and citizens were treated by our current City Council. Citizens that would be affected by the decision took the podium and poured their hearts out to members of Council, and were met with smug indifference, disregard, and absence of any concern for their plight.
I knew at that point that our city was in desperate need of leadership who's number one priority are the People of Wilmington -- not their own self interest, selfish motives, and the placating of certain special interest groups. I decided at that moment in time, that I would get involved, and hope to have the opportunity to prove to the citizens of Wilmington that there is a better way. I stand for limited government, less taxation, accountability and transparency in government, free market enterprise, liberty, and the founding Constitutional principles of our great nation.
