| Candidate Statement:
I believe that North Carolina can elect a Republican Governor and Lieutenant Governor in the 2008 General Election. For too long North Carolina has experienced primarily a one-party system within state government.
I have attempted to set out in my book The Conservative Mind, “A New Model for Government” my ideas based on old ideals to decrease the size of government, lower the rate of public spending, bring education back to set standards which emphasize teaching over testing and which combine processes of government for better economies.
Our Snyder Retirement Security Plan, which provides for investment for every child born in North Carolina, was much acclaimed during the 2004 election cycle. But, strong leadership is required to complete these lofty goals.
