I offer 28 years experience, as a judge, law professor, attorney, law enforcement and military officer, and public school teacher. My record shows fairness and impartiality. Since 2001, I have ruled on over 2,500 appeals, written over 800 opinions with 98.5% affirmed or undisturbed, keeping our families safe, secure, and providing Justice for All.
I support the mission of North Carolina’s Judicial Branch: “To protect and preserve the rights and liberties of all the People, as guaranteed by the Constitutions and laws …, by providing a fair, independent and accessible forum for the just, timely and economical resolution of their legal affairs.”
My life is devoted to my family and the law. My wife, Kirby, and I have been married 34 years and have four children.
